SANGSAD BHABAN, July 5, 2018 (BSS) – Education Minister Nurul Islam Nahid
today said the government would construct 3,000 new school buildings at a
cost of Taka 10,694 crore.
“To this end, the government has given administration approval from secondary
and higher secondary education department,” he said this, while responding to
a starred question from treasury bench member Shamsul Haque Chowdhury of
Chattagram in the Jatiya Sangsad.
The minister said the government has undertaken two projects “Development of
Private Secondary Schools and High Rise Expansion of Secondary Schools”,
which was approved by ECNEC.
He said the second project, the government would expand existing buildings of
secondary schools at a cost of Taka 5,237.37 crore, which was given
administration approval.
