Eid-e-Miladunnabi observed with religious fervor in Rajshahi

RAJSHAHI, Oct 31, 2020 (BSS) – The holy Eid-e-Miladunnabi, marking the birth and demise of the Prophet Hazrat Muhammad (PBUH), was observed here as elsewhere of the country with due religious fervor and solemnity on Friday.

The traditional colourful rally ‘Jasne Julush’ under the auspices of Gausul Azam Gausia, Talime Quran Tamauafi, EskeNabi was brought out from city’s Saheb Bazar area around 8:30 am on the occasion through maintaining health safety measures amid the novel coronavirus (Covid-19) pandemic situation. The rally ended at Shah Makhdum Dargah Mosque after parading the main city thoroughfares.

After the rally, a special prayer was offered seeking divine blessings of Almighty Allah for peace, progress and prosperity of the country and welfare of the Muslim Ummah after Juma prayers.

Special prayers, Zikir, Doa and Milad Mahfil, discussion, providing food to orphans and destitute and processions to welcome the holy Miladunnabi were the main features of the day.

Divisional office of Islamic Foundation and Imam Training Academy jointly organized a discussion highlighting the significance of the day.

Several bamboo-made temporary gates wrapped by long rag with colorful festoons and banners were erected at important road corners and city islands on the occasion.
