PANCHAGARH, Oct 27, 2020(BSS)- Hasna Hena, a 9th grade student of Government Girls High School today symbolically assumed office as the position of Upazila Chairman, Panchagarh for an hour .
All staff of the upazila parishad came under her jurisdiction, the moment Organization Secretary of the National Children Task Force (NCTF) of the district branch Hasna Hena took over the position of upazila Chairman Amirul Islam.
All eyes were glued to the chair occupied by a stranger, a teenage girl who was skimming the bundle of papers and files of the upazila for a while .
She has figuratively been made upazila chairman for women empowerment in observance of the National Child Daughter’s Day .
Plan International and NCTF organised the brief programme in which she made a clarion call for stopping rape , child marriage, women repression , torture and building sadar upazila as women friendly with placing a set of recommendations in this regard.
Upazila Chairman Amirul Islam who flanked the newly coronated girl student turned chairman said women are playing unlimited contributions in national building activities and young generation particularly women will have best endeavour for progress and development of the country in future.
Administrative officer Abdur Rashid, Kajol Digi Union Parishad chairman Mojaher Ali, district volunteer of NCTF Maruf Hasan Arif and others government officials were present.
