DHAKA, July 4, 2018 (BSS) – Parliamentary Standing Committee on Ministry
of Posts, Telecommunications and ICT today decided to hold more meetings in
future to discuss and make more time befitting Digital Security Bill, 2018.
The committee discussed the act in detail at its second adjourned meeting
of 24th gathering at Jatiya Sangsad (JS) Bhaban here with committee president
Imran Ahmed in the chair.
Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs Minister Anisul Huq, Posts,
Telecommunications and ICT Minister Mustafa Jabbar, Committee member Hosne
Ara Lutfa Dalia, BFUJ president Manjurul Ahsan Bulbul, Association of
Television Channel Owners (ATCO) vice-president Mozammel Haque Babu and The
Daily Star editor Mahfuz Anam attended at the meeting, among others.
Senior officials of law ministry, ICT division, BTRC and JS secretariat
were present on the occasion, among others.
