No secondary level exam this year: Dipu Moni
DHAKA, Oct 21, 2020 (BSS) – Education Minister Dr Dipu Moni today said the annual examinations at the secondary level will not be held this year due to the pandemic and all the students will get auto promotion for the next class.
A curriculum has been formulated for thirty working days and the students need to do assignments based on this short syllabus, the minister said while addressing a virtual press conference here today, said a press release.
“This assignment will be given and submitted every week…this assessment will basically look at what the students are lacking, so that it can be met through special arrangements in the next class,” he said.
This syllabus will be posted on the website of the Ministry of Education and conveyed to the heads of the institutions, the education minister added.
Secretary of Madrasa and Technical Education Department Mohammad Aminul Islam Khan and Director General of the Department Secondary and Higher Education Prof. Dr Syed Golam Farooq also attended the virtual meeting.
