Ticket sales for Asian Games start
JAKARTA, July 4, 2018, (BSS/XINHUA)– The committee of the 18th Asian Games
started to sell tickets for the regional multi-sport event to be held later
this year.
The tickets are sold online with various prices hovering from 75,000
rupiah (52 U.S. dollars) to 7.5 million rupiah (520 U.S. dollars), according
to a report of Kompas media on Wednesday.
The prices of ticket are set up based on the types of each event, such as
the opening ceremony and closing ceremony, and the types of sport.
Host Indonesia is to stage 40 sports during the world’s second largest
sport event after the Olympics.
A total of about 11,000 athletes and officials from different countries
and regions will come to Indonesia to participate in the Games.
The 18th Asian Games is scheduled to be held in Indonesian capital of
Jakarta and Palembang city, the provincial capital of South Sumatra province
from August 18 to September 2.
