DHAKA, Oct 17, 2020 (BSS) – Rain or thundershowers accompanied by temporary gusty wind is likely to occur at a few places of Chattogram division and at one or two places over Barishal and Sylhet divisions. Weather may remain mainly dry with temporary partly cloudy sky elsewhere over the country.

Day and night temperature may remain nearly unchanged over the country, a Met office release said here today.

Monsoon trough runs through West Bengal to Assam across central part of Bangladesh. Trough of low lies over North Bay. Monsoon is less active over Bangladesh and weak over North Bay. A low pressure area is likely to form over the central Bay of Bengal during the next two days.

Country’s maximum temperature on Friday was recorded by 36.2 degree Celsius at Bhola and the minimum temperature today was recorded by 22.5 degree Celsius at Tetulia.

Highest rainfall for the last 24-hours till 6am today was recorded by 34 milimeters (mm) at Cox’s Bazar and Kutubdia.
