16 more drug addicts jailed in Rajshahi
RAJSHAHI, July 4, 2018 (BSS) -Members of Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) arrested 16 more people here yesterday and they were sentenced to different terms of jail each by mobile court on charge of taking drugs.
On tip-off, a team of the elite force conducted raids in different areas under Godagari Upazila in the district and arrested them.
The team also seized 390 grams of ganja and some other drugs-taking instruments from their possessions, RAB said today.
Later, the arrested persons were produced before a mobile court. After examining the evidences, the court sentenced them to jail.
Nure Alam, Assistant Superintendent of Police working at RAB, said a total of 267 drug addicts sent to jail in different courts during the last 10 days.
