Report on Bangladesh Press Institute Bill, 2018 places in JS
SANGSAD BHABAN, July 3, 2018 (BSS) – A report on Bangladesh Press Institute bill, 2018 was placed in the Jatiya Sangsad after scrutiny with a view to bring all the activities of the organization under a legal frame.
Chairman of the Parliamentary Standing Committee on Information Ministry AKM Rahmatullah placed the report of the committee on the bill in the House with Speaker Dr Shirin Sharmin Chaudhury in the chair.
Placing the report of the standing committee on the bill, parliamentary standing committee chairman said with the permission of the government, the amended act will help set up its branch at any place in the country.
On June 10,2018, the committee at its 25th meeting scrutinised the bill, he said, adding that committee members Information Minister Hasanul Haq Inu and other lawmakers Begum Simin Hossen Rimi and Begum Tarana Halim participated to examine the proposed bill.
