New BD ambassador to Uzbekistan meets President

DHAKA, Oct 07, 2020 (BSS) – New ambassador of Bangladesh to the Republic of Uzbekistan Md Zahangir Alam paid a courtesy call on President M Abdul Hamid at Bangabhaban here this evening.

During the meeting, the President said that Bangladesh maintains a very good relation with Uzbekistan and there is a huge opportunity for trade and investment between the two countries.

Press Secretary Mohammad Joynal Abedin told Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha (BSS) after the meet.

President Hamid directed the newly appointed Bangladesh ambassador to avail the advantage, taking effective steps to develop the existing bilateral ties.

The ambassador sought guidance and overall cooperation of the President in discharging his duties in Uzbekistan.

President’s Secretary Sampad Barua, Military Secretary Major General SM Shamim-Uz-Zaman, Press Secretary M Joynal Abedin and Secretary (attached) Md Wahidul Islam Khan were also present there.
