DHAKA, September 8, 2017 (BSS) – Water levels at 26 river stations monitored by the Flood Forecasting and Warning Centre (FFWC) have marked rises while 59 stations recorded fall while five are steady.
Among the 90 monitored water level stations, five rivers are above danger level, a buletin issued by Flood Forecasting and Warning Centre (FFWC) said today. The Brahmaputra-Jamuna river is in rising trend, while the Ganges & Surma-Kushiyara rivers are in falling trend and the Padma river is in steady state.
The Brahmaputra-Jamuna river is likely to continue rising in next 72 hours.
The Ganges river is likely to continue falling in next 72 hours.
The Padma river is likely to remain steady in next 24 hours.
The Surma-Kushiyara rivers are likely to continue falling in next 24 hours.
A total of 67 mm rainfall was recorded at Lama and 54 mm at Sheola station during the last 24 hours ending at 6 am today.
