SANGSAD BHABAN, July 3, 2018 (BSS) – Finance Minister Abul Maal Abdul Muhith today said the amount of disbursed foreign aid available to the government to spend on development purposes was 24,157.64 million US dollars from 2008-09 to 2016-17.
“The foreign aid came from different countries and development partners from the financial year of 2008-09 to 20016-17,” he said this, while replying to a starred question from treasury bench member Nurunnabi Chowdhury of Bhola-3 in the Jatiya Sangsad.
The minister informed the House that out of the total foreign aid received, loan amount was 18,559.83 million US dollars and foreign grant amount was 5,597.81 million dollars during the period.
