Sheikh Hasina’s able leadership expedites country’s development: Dipu Moni

DHAKA, Sept 29, 2020 (BSS) – Education Minister Dr Dipu Moni said Bangladesh has achieved tremendous progress under the able leadership of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.

“Development trend of Bangladesh will continue as the present government led by Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina is taking effective and time-befitting programmes,” she said here.

The minister was speaking at the unveiling ceremony of 16 anthologies of poems titled ‘Peace and Harmony’ translated into 52 languages as the chief guest on the occasion of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina’s 74th birthday at the International Mother Language Institute in the capital, an official release said.

She said Sheikh Hasina, the daughter of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, is working to complete the unfinished tasks of Bangabandhu to build an economically advanced country.

With former Secretary of the Ministry of Cultural Affairs and former Chief Information Commissioner Azizur Rahman Aziz in the chair, the function was attended among others, by Bangabandhu’s Birth Centenary Celebration National Implementation Committee Chief Coordinator Dr Kamal Abdul Naser Chowdhury , Director General of the International Mother Language Institute Professor Dr Jinnat Imtiaz Ali and Jahangirnagar University Professor Ahmed Reza as special guests.

As part of Mujib Year celebration programmes, 16 collections of poems titled Peace and Harmony dedicated to Mujib’s daughter have been published in 52 languages. Gaurav Prakashan published the book, edited by Poet Anis Muhammad.

Poems of 81 poets including Shamsur Rahman, Kabir Chowdhury, Syed Shamsul Haque, Rafiq Azad, Kamal Abdul Naser Chowdhury have been included in the poetry collections.
