DHAKA, Sept 29, 2020 (BSS) – Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal
today said Bangladesh is moving ahead with tremendous development
under the foresighted, prudent and dynamic leadership of Prime
Minister Sheikh Hasina.

“As long as Sheikh Hasina is in the state power, Bangladesh moves
forward. The country will not fall in dark. The days of bottomless
baskets are over,” he said this while inaugurating a garden as the
chief guest at Uttara.

Dhaka North City Corporation (DNCC) organized a two-day programme
on the occasion of 74th birth day of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina. As
part of the programme, 74 saplings were planted near Jamjam Tower
adjacent to Sector 13 at Sonargaon Janpath Road, Uttara.

Kamal said Sheikh Hasina has been materializing the dreams of Father
of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman gradually with mandate
of the people.

“We will soon be able to build Bangabandhu’s ‘Sonar Bangla’ under
the leadership of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina,” he said.

The home minister said Bangabandhu had tried to take the country
forward after independence, but he along with most of his family
members were killed through a conspiracy.

Mentioning that the Almighty Allah kept Sheikh Hasina alive on the
earth for materializing the ideals and dreams of Bangabandhu, Kamal
said, “When she (Sheikh Hasina) had returned back to the country, she
stood at the airport and cried. Then people voiced that Sheikh’s
(Bangabandhu’s) daughter has come, the country will turn around and it
had happened.”

“Now the country has turned around today. She (Sheikh Hasina) has
been implementing Bangabandhu’s dreams one by one,” he said.

The minister said Sheikh Hasina did not fail in any decision.

About the coronavirus, Kamal said, “Many people have predicted that
our GDP will decrease during this pandemic period. But it did not
happen and it has been possible due to the foresighted, prudent and
dynamic leadership of the premier.”

Speaking as the special guest, State Minister for Industries Kamal
Ahmed Majumder said, “We will plant 74 saplings today on the 74th
birth day of the premier as there is no alternative to plant trees to
make the capital green.”

Inspector General of Police Dr Benazir Ahmed said, “Sheikh Hasina,
the beloved daughter of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh
Mujibur, Rahman, has come to us with blessings.”

Director General of Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) Chowdhury Abdullah
Al Mamun, DMP Commissioner Md Shafiqul Islam, DNCC mayor Atiqul Islam,
officials concerned and local Awami league leaders and workers joined
the programme.
