DHAKA, Sept 29, 2020 (BSS) – Awami League Presidium Member Begum
Matia Chowdhury today said Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has activated
the country’s development wheels which got stuck in mud after the
assassination of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur
Rahman.
“The country is witnessing unprecedented development and progress
under the dynamic leadership of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina,” she
told a discussion at the Jatiya Press Club auditorium here.
Social organization ‘Pratyasha’ arranged the discussion on
“Bangabandhu’s daughter Sheikh Hasina is the symbol of development of
the country and the nation-Bangladesh in progress” marking Awami
League President and Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina’s 74th birthday.
Deputy Minister for Water Resources AKM Enamul Hoque Shameem,
lawmaker Advocate Nurul Amin Ruhul, AL leader Hedayetul Islam Swapan
addressed the discussion, among others, with host organization’s
president MA Karim in the chair.
Matia Chowdhury said Bangabandhu’s family is symbol of honesty and
transparency in the country’s politics.
She said Sheikh Hasina makes herself an extraordinary personality by
leading a very simple life in spite of being head of the government.
There are lessons to be learnt from the lifestyle of Bangabandhu’s
two daughters as they are working for the wellbeing of the country and
its people overcoming different hurdles and conspiracies, she added.
Enamul Hoque Shameem said BNP-Jamaat alliance is out to hatch
conspiracy aboard to grasp the state power as they failed to implement
their evil deigns inside the country.
Their all conspiracies will go in vain as Prime Minister Sheikh
Hasina is the symbol of trust to the people, he said.
