Nagorny Karabakh declares ‘martial law, total military mobilisation’
YEREVAN, Sept 27, 2020 (BSS/AFP) – Azerbaijan’s Armenian-held breakaway region of Nagorny Karabakh on Sunday declared “martial law and total military mobilisation,” the rebel presidency said as Baku and Yerevan reported civilian casualties in heavy fighting along the Karabakh frontline.
“I declared martial law” and a mobilisation of all those liable for military service and are older than 18 years, Karabakh’s president Araik Harutyunyan told an emergency parliament session in the enclave’s main city of Stepanakert.
