DHAKA, Sept 25, 2020 (BSS) – Awami League Joint General Secretary
Mahbubul Alam Hanif said today that many top leaders of BNP are
hatching conspiracy staying abroad to oust the government but there
will be no benefit in doing that.

“Conspiracy will not bring any benefit for BNP . . . it is not
possible to oust the government through plots,” he told a discussion
marking the birthday of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina at Jatiya Press
Club auditorium here.

He said BNP has no public support and they are looking for
clandestine alleyways to go to power by hatching conspiracy through
communicating with foreign intelligence agency.

But there is no scope for the changeover of the government without
gaining people’s mandate in general elections, he added.

Muktijoddha Sontan Prajanmo Oikyajote arranged the discussion with
its president Barrister Zakir Ahmed in the chair.

Conducted by journalist Jayanta Acharjee, the discussion was
addressed, among others, by Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical
University (BSMMU) former vice-chancellor Professor Kamrul Hasan Khan,
Awami League Relief and Social Welfare Secretary Sujit Roy Nandi,
Deputy Publicity Secretary Aminul Islam Amin, lawmakers Iqbal Hossain
Sabuj and Manoranjan Shill Gopal and AL leader Maniruzzaman Manir.
