GAIBANDHA, SEPT 17, 2020 (BSS) – Rangpur divisional commissioner Md Abdul
Wahav has urged the officials to do their duties with utmost sincerity for
the interest of the country’s people.
“We have to work seriously in line with the modern world to reach the
country towards its desired destination during the age of globalisation”, he
said.
He made the comments while addressing a view-exchange meeting organised by
Gaibandha district administration at the conference room of the Circuit House
here on Wednesday afternoon as the chief guest.
Divisional commissioner Md. Abdul Wahav said, “More works have to be done
sincerely by us to turn the country into a middle income one by 2021 as it is
the vision of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.”
Apart from it, sustainable goals would be achieved with the hard and
cordial works for building a happy and prosperous country within 2030, he
said.
Presided over by deputy commissioner (DC) Abdul Matin, all the officials of
the district administration participated in the meeting.
Earlier, divisional commissioner Md. Abdul Wahav formally inaugurated a
waterfall fountain and planted saplings of fruit bearing trees on the
premises of the Circuit House through unveiling a plaque on the Mujib Year.
He also visited the DC office, Gaibandha Pourashava and Boali union
parishad.
He also distributed wheel chairs to the persons with disabilities.
DC Abdul Matin and other officials of the district administration
accompanied the divisional commissioner during his visits.
