DSCC conducts drives against mosquito, illegal structures
DHAKA, Sept 16, 2020 (BSS)- Four mobile courts today conducted drives in different parts of Dhaka South City Corporation (DSCC) and took legal actions for having Aedes mosquito grounds and disobeying government rules.
DSCC Executive Magistrate AH Irfan Uddin Ahmed imposed a fine of Tk 10,000 each on two companies for illegally occupying road in Segunbagicha area.
The mobile court evicted makeshift shops from the sidewalk from Nagar Bhaban to Gulistan.
The mobile court also jailed two persons – Mohammad Sohail and Mohammad Farhad – for 10 days for disobeying government orders, said the release.
A mobile court, conducted by DSCC property officer and executive magistrate Mohammad Moniruzzaman, removed illegal cables from seven electric poles in Chankharpul area.
Another mobile court led by Kazi Mohammad Faisal conducted an operation to identify mosquito breeding grounds at Ward-19 in Ramna area.
During this time, he inspected 34 installations and found Aedes mosquito larvae in 3 installations. He filed 3 cases and collected fine of Tk 40,000 for the offence.
Besides, a mobile court led by Executive Magistrate Ferdous Ahmed in Bangshal area of Zone-4 conducted a mobile court to identify the breeding grounds of Aedes mosquitoes.
He inspected 36 installations, filed 2 cases and collected a fine of Tk 10,000 for having Aedes mosquito larvae in two installations.
