JS body discusses on programmes to celebrate ‘Mujib Barsha’

DHAKA, Sept 16, 2020 (BSS) – The Parliamentary Standing Committee on Cultural Affairs Ministry today discussed different programmes taken to celebrate the ‘Mujib Barsha’, birth centenary of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.

Marking the ‘Mujib Borsho’, Bangla Academy has planned to publish 100 books on the life and works of Bangabandhu over the next three years, this was revealed at the 10th meeting held at the Jatiya Sangsad Bhaban with its chairperson Simeen Hussain (Rimi) in the chair.

Other committee members — State Minister for Cultural Affairs KM Khalid, Kazi Keramat Ali, Ashim Kumar Ukil, Selina Islam and Suborna Mustafa attended the meeting, an official release said.

As part of the programmes of the ministry, an online based cultural competition has been organised across the country on the 45th martyrdom anniversary and National Mourning Day 2020.
