DHAKA, Sept 16, 2020 (BSS) – Light to moderate rain or thundershowers accompanied by temporary gusty wind is likely to occur at many places over Rangpur, Mymensingh and Sylhet divisions and at a few places over Dhaka, Rajshahi, Khulna, Barishal and Chattogram divisions with moderately heavy to heavy falls at some places over the country today.
Day and night temperature may remain nearly unchanged over the country, a met office release said this morning.
The well marked low over West Central Bay and adjoining North Andhra coast weakened and became unimportant.
The axis of monsoon trough runs through Rajasthan, Hariyana, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, West Bengal to Assam across Northern part of Bangladesh.
Monsoon is fairly active over Bangladesh and moderate elsewhere over North Bay, the release said.
Maximum temperature on Tuesday was recorded 35.7 degrees Celsius at Rajshahi and lowest temperature today 24.5 degrees Celsius at Chattogram.
Maximum rainfall for the last 24 hours till 6am today was recorded 117 millimeters (mm) at Hatiya.
