Krishak League plants 40 lakh trees in city marking Mujib Year

DHAKA, Sept 15, 2020 (BSS)- Bangladesh Krishak League, an associate body of the ruling Awami League (AL), has planted about 40 lakh trees in various educational institutions and parks along the roads and highways of the capital in three months on the occasion of celebrating ‘Mujib Year’.

This information was given by the Krishak League at the concluding ceremony of the tree planting programmme organized by Dhaka unit of South Krishak League on the premises of Amulima Model Town under Demra Police Station today.

The organization has carried out a three-month tree planting programme in Aashar, Shraban and Bhadra months.

AL Forests and Environment Secretary Delwar Hossain addressed the function as the chief guest.

Krishak League President Krishibid Samir Chanda, its general secretary Advocate Umme Kulsum Smriti, MP, DHAKA unit general secretary of Krishak League Abdul Rob Khan and Demra Thana AL President Advocate Rafiqul Islam Masud also spoke, among others, on the occasion.
