JS committee meeting on LGRD and Cooperatives ministry held
DHAKA, Sept 10, 2020 (BSS) – The 6th meeting of the Parliamentary Standing Committee on Local Government, Rural Development (LGRD) and Co-operatives ministry was held today at the Jatiya Sangsad (JS) Bhaban with committee Chairman Khandaker Mosharraf Hossain in the chair.
Other members of the committee Minister for Local Government, Rural Development and Cooperatives (LGRD) Md Tajul Islam, Md Moshiur Rahman Ranga, Sk Afil Uddin, Rebecca Momin, Razee Mohammad Fakhrul, Md Shah E Alam and Abdus Salam Murshedi attended the meeting, said an official release.
In the meeting, prayers were offered seeking eternal peace of the departed soul of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and other martyrs of August 15 carnage and all martyrs of the 1971 Liberation War.
During the meeting, the committee was informed about the progress of implementation of the decisions taken at the fourth meeting.
At the meeting, the committee placed recommendations to the relevant ministry to take the opinion or direction of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina to operate the Palli Sanchay Bank under the Rural Development and Co-operatives Division.
