Hungarian FM due tomorrow on a day’s visit

DHAKA, Sept 9, 2020 (BSS) – Hungarian foreign affairs and trade minister Peter Szijjarto will arrive here tomorrow (Thursday) on a one-day visit to attend a bilateral meeting with his Bangladesh counterpart Dr A K Abdul Momen.

It is expected that more than two instruments would be signed between Bangladesh and Hungary during the visit, a foreign ministry press release said here today.

The foreign ministers are expected to hold a joint press briefing after the bilateral meeting, it added.

Peter Szijjarto is also expected to meet Commerce Minister Tipu Munshi.

The Hungarian minister is scheduled to arrive early in the morning on Thursday and firstly visit the Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman Memorial Museum to pay tribute to memories of the country’s founding father and his family members who were brutally killed in 1975.

Foreign Minister Momen may host a lunch in honour of the visiting Hungarian minister, said the foreign ministry.

Bangladesh Television will anchor a 20-minute interview with the Hungarian foreign minister while he is scheduled to depart Dhaka in the evening of September 10.
