Minor child drowns in pond in Ctg
CHATTOGRAM, Sept 7, 2020 (BSS) – A nine-year-old boy drowned in a pond at Mozaffarpur village of Mekhol union under Hathazari upazila of the district on Monday.
The deceased was identified as Mohammad Yamin, 09, son of Md Hossain, hailed from Chipatali union of the upazila.
Masud Alam, officer-in-charge (OC) of Hathazari thana said Yamin, who went to his maternal grandfather’s house in Mozaffarpur village of Mekhol union, slipped into a pond by the side of which he was playing.
Family members and locals rescued the victim in an unconscious condition and took him to Hathazari health complex, where the doctors declared him dead.
