CHAPAINAWABGANJ, Sept 3, 2020 (BSS) – Farmers Incentive Programme for Kharif-2 crop was inaugurated today in Chapainawabganj.
Deputy Commissioner of Chapainawabganj AZM Nurul Hoque inaugurated the programme as the chief guest.
Chapainawabganj Sadar upazila office of the Department of Agriculture Extension (DAE) arranged the inaugural programme at the auditorium of Chapainawabganj sadar upazila parishad.
It was held with the upazila nirbahi officer (UNO) of sadar upazila Md. Nazmul Islam Sarkar in the chair.
Among others, deputy director (DD) of DAE Muhammad Nazrul Islam, additional deputy commissioner (Revenue) Debendranath Orao, additional DD of DAE Dr. Yasin Ali attended the function as special guests while upazila agriculture officer Kaniz Tasnova gave the welcome speech.
According to the DAE office sources, each of the 5,200 small and marginal farmers of the district would get 5 kg maskalai seed, 10 kg DAP and 5 kg MOP fertilizer.
The chief guest said the maskalai seeds and fertilizer is being distributed in the district as part of the government’s special initiative on area wise distribution of agricultural incentive.
