Bangladesh finish 2nd in FIBA Asian Cup 2021 Pre Qualifiers
DHAKA, June 30, 2018 (BSS)- Bangladesh finished second position in the FIBA Asian Cup 2021 SABA Zone Pre Qualifiers beating The Maldives by 74-57 points held on Saturday at Dhanmondi Wooden Floor Basketball Gymnasium.
The winners led the first half by 36-22 points.
Tareq was the highest scorer with 16 points while Mithun and Shoyeb caged 14 points each for Bangladesh.
Husham Ahmed scored 15 points while Abdul Latheefe Zakariy caged 11 points for the Maldives.
Earlier, Sri Lanka emerged top in the pre qualifier.
Health and Family Welfare Minister Mohammed Nasim was present as the chief guest on the closing ceremony and distributed the prizes.
