Bangabandhu’s 45th martyrdom anniversary observed in Khulna

KHULNA, Aug 16, 2020 (BSS) – Different organizations have observed the National Mourning Day and 45th martyrdom anniversary of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman maintaining government health guidelines with much enthusiasm and in a befitting manner.

The Mongla Port Authority (MPA) observed the day as part of their month long mourning programmes on Saturday on the port office premises at Mongla in Bagerhat.

The programmes include wearing of black badges, hoisted the national flag half-mast atop of the offices, decorated Khulna and Mongla office gates with black mourning banners along with Bangabandhu’s message and pictures. Marking the day, a discussion was held at the conference room with MPA chairman Rear Admiral M Shahazahan in the chair.

Later, a documentary film on ‘Amader Bangabandhu,’ a life sketch of Father of the nation was screened.

Besides, The Bangladesh-India Friendship Power Company (PVT) Limited (BIFPCL), Khulna Divisional Health Department, Sundarbans Gas Company limited, Khulna District and Metropolitan Police, Khulna Agricultural University (KAU), Khulna University (KU) and Khulna University of Engineering and Technology (KUET) and other non-government organizations observed the day maintaining social distance.
