27 held in Habiganj
HABIGANJ, June 28, 2018 (BSS) – Police and members of the Department of
Narcotics Control (DNC) arrested 27 persons including nine drug traders, 13
wanted accused and five accused in regular cases from different areas of the
district in last 12-hour ending at 9am this morning.
Law enforcers also seized 1,149 pieces of Yaba tablets during the drives.
Additional Superintendent of Police (Addl.SP) A S M Shamsur Rahman Bhuiyan
said, they were picked up from different areas of the district on different
charges.
Several cases, including charges of subversive activities, are pending
with different police stations against the arrested persons, the sources
added.
On secret information, members of the Department of Narcotics Control (DNC)
detained three drug traders with 42 pieces of Yaba tablets from Umednagor
area in the town last night.
Later, the detained persons were handed over to the Sadar Thana police,
DNC said.
The arrested were sent to jail.
