Mayur-2 assistant master remanded in Buriganga launch capsize case

DHAKA, July 24, 2020 (BSS) – A Dhaka court today placed an assistant master of MV Mayur -2 on a three-day remand in a negligent death case lodged over the drowning of ML Morning Bird on June 29.

Dhaka Senior Judicial Magistrate Mishkat Shukrana passed the order, remanding the accused Zakir Hossain in the case.

Police arrested Zakir on July 23.

On the morning of June 29 Mayur-2 rammed into the smaller size ML Morning Bird, drowning it instantly along with its 34 passengers.
