Argentina beat Nigeria 2-1 in World Cup to reach second round

DHAKA, June 27, 2018 (BSS) –  Argentina finally found the form they needed as they beat Nigeria by 2-1 goals to book their place in the next round in the crucial group D match in the FIFA World Cup held in the early hours on Wednesday Krestovsky Stadium in Russia.

Messi gave the cherished lead in the 14th minutes (1-0) and Moses made 1-1 from penalty for Nigeria in 51st minutes.

Argentine defender Rojo scored the dream goal for his team in the 86 minutes to shattered the Nigerian dreams.

 Argentina will now face France on Saturday in the last 16.

Croatia became group champions with  nine points and Argentina became runner-up with four points.
