DHAKA, July 16, 2020 (BSS) – The government has decided to appoint Md Zahangir Alam, currently serving as Additional Secretary of foreign ministry’s legal affairs wing, as the next Bangladesh Ambassador to Uzbekistan.
Ambassador-designate Alam belongs to 1986 batch of Bangladesh Civil Service (BCS) Administration cadre, a foreign ministry press release said here.
Prior to his present position in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, he worked as Joint Secretary in Asia Wing of Economic Relations Division.
Md. Zahangir Alam obtained his Honours and Masters Degree in English from the University of Dhaka.
