DHAKA, June 26, 2018 (BSS) – Parliamentary Standing Committee on Ministry
of Environment, Forest and Climate Change at a meeting here today recommended
the ministry to take immediate initiatives for collecting saplings of high
yielding rubber plants.
The committee also recommended for taking steps to start the second phase
work of the Raozan-Rangunia rubber garden.
The recommendations was made at the 43rd meeting of the committee held at
the Jatiya Sangsad with its chairman Dr Hasan Mahmud in the chair, said a
press release here today.
The committee also discussed in detail about the development of the
projects under Bangladesh Forest Industries Development Corporation (BFIDC)
and Rangunia Rubber Garden.
Deputy Minister and member of the committee Abdullah Al-Islam Jakob, was
also present at the meeting.
