RAJSHAHI, July 14, 2020 (BSS) – Members of Rapid Action Battalion (RAB), in two separate anti-crime drives, arrested two alleged drug peddlers with 470 yaba tablets and 300 grams of heroin here last night.
According to the RAB sources, the arrested persons were identified as Mozammel Haque, 25, son of late Abdul Aziz and Abdus Sattar, 40, son of late Shafiqul Islam.
A team of the elite force, being informed, conducted a raid in Laxmipur area under Durgapur upazila and arrested Mozammel Haque with 470 yaba tablets around 9.30 pm red-handed, RAB sources said here today.
Another RAB team arrested Abdus Sattar with 300 grams of heroin from near his house at Farhadpur village in Godagari Upazila around 8.30 pm.
Two separate cases were recorded with the respective police stations and the arrested persons along with the seized goods were handed over to police.
