LALMONIRHAT, July 9, 2020 (BSS) – Cholbola union parishad today distributed bicycles among 15 female students studying in different colleges and belonging to poorer families in Kaliganj upazila of the district to promote female education.
Cholbola union parishad distributed the bicycles from Taka 1.14 lakh prize money received from the Ministry of Local Government, Rural Development (LGRD) and Co-operatives for the becoming one of the best performing union parishads of the country.
Kaliganj Upazila Nirbahi Officer Md. Rabiul Hasan distributed the bicycles among the college level female students of the union in a function arranged maintaining physical distance at the union parishad premises as the chief guest.
Presided over by Cholbola union parishad Chairman Mizanur Rahman Miju, its Member Bipul Chandra and Secretary Ashish Kumar, local social worker Abul Basher, journalist Altabur Rahman addressed the function.
A number of bicycle recipient female college students also spoke on the occasion expressing their deep gratitude to the Cholbola union parishad authority for providing them with the bicycles for smooth continuation of their studies.
