FARIDPUR, Aug 25, 2017( BSS)- Flood affected people in Charmadhobdia village of Sadar upazila of the district have been given rice and monetary help by Local Government, Rural Development (LGRD) and Cooperatives Minister Khandaker Mosharraf Hossain here today.
A total of 2.395tonnes of rice have been distributed among 2395 families and Taka 10 thousand in cash have been given to 20 people for fisheries on the occasion of the relief camp held at Afzal Mondoler Hat in Charmadhobdia union. Faridpur district Awami League organized the programme.
Earlier, the LGRD Ministered addressed a short rally presided by Tuhinur Rahaman Mondol, chairman of Charmadhobdia Union Parishad. Faridpur Deputy Commissiner Ummey Salma Tanzia, Superintendent of Police Suvash Chandra Saha, Sadar Upazila Chairman Khandaker Mohtesham Hossain Babor spoke on the occasion among others.
Besides,AL district unit president advocate Subol Chandra Saha and Faridpur Press Club President Imtiaz Hasan Rubel attended the function.
The minister said that Awami League is the party of general people and it is working for the people’s interest only led by premier Sheikh Hasina.
All should strengthen the hands of Sheikh Hasina and cast the vote on the symbol Boat in next election, he urged.
