Indian navy chief calls on BN chief
DHAKA, June 25, 2018 – Chief of Naval Staff, Indian Navy, Admiral Sunil
Lanba today called on Chief of Bangladesh Naval Staff Mohammad Nizamuddin
Ahmed at Navy Headquarters here.
During the meeting, they exchanged greetings and discussed different
issues of bilateral interests, said an ISPR press release.
Lanba stressed on developing a friendly relation between the two forces to
strengthen regional sea security and face the challenges of naval protection.
He also emphasized on increasing training activities between the two
countries for developing maritime research.
Lanba is expected to inaugurate the joint exercise of BN and Indian Navy
at the Bay of Bengal, for the first time in the country, on June 27. Ships
and maritime aircrafts of both the countries will take part in the exercise.
Earlier, he received guard of honour by a smartly turned out BN Contingent
as he reached the navy headquarters.
Indian Chief of Naval Staff is leading a three-member delegation, which
arrived in Bangladesh on June 24 on a 6-day official visit.
