DHAKA, July 1, 2020 (BSS) – Light to moderate rain or thundershowers accompanied by temporary gusty wind is likely to occur at many places over Rangpur, Mymensingh, Chattogram and Sylhet divisions and at a few places over Dhaka, Khulna and Barishal divisions and at one or two places over Rajshahi division today.
Day and night temperature may remain nearly unchanged over the country, said a met office release.
The axis of monsoon trough runs through Rajsthan, Horiyana, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, West Bengal to Assam across central part of Bangladesh. One of its associated trough extends up to North Bay. Monsoon is fairly active over Bangladesh and moderate over North Bay.
Country’s maximum temperature on Tuesday was recorded 36.4 degrees at Ishurdi and minimum temperature today 24.6 degrees Celsius at Teknaf.
Maximum rainfall for the last twenty-four hours till 6am today was recorded 35millimeters (mm) at Kumarkhali.
The sun sets at 06.50 pm today and rises at 05.15am tomorrow in the capital.
