DHAKA, June 26, 2020 (BSS) – Light to moderate rain or thunder showers accompanied by temporary gusty wind is likely to occur at most places over Rangpur, Rajshahi, Mymensingh and Sylhet divisions, at a few places over Dhaka and Chattogram divisions and at one or two places over Khulna and Barishal divisions with heavy to very heavy falls at places over northern part of the country.
Day and night temperature may fall slightly over northern part and it may remain nearly unchanged elsewhere over the country, said a met office release here today.
The axis of monsoon trough runs through Rajasthan, Horyana, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Sub-Himaliyan, West Bengal to Assam across northern part of Bangladesh. Monsoon is active over northern part and less active elsewhere over the country and moderate over North Bay.
Country’s maximum temperature on Thursday was recorded 36.4 degrees Celsius at Jashore and lowest temperature today 24.0 degrees Celsius at Chuadanga.
Maximum rainfall for the last twenty-four hours till 6am was recorded 126 millimeters (mm) at Dimla.
Today’s sunset at 06-50 PM and tomorrow’s sunrise will be at 05-14 AM at Dhaka.
