Sadhan for rapid implementation of ongoing projects
DHAKA, June 25, 2020 (BSS) – Food Minister Sadhan Chandra Majumder today directed all concerned officials to speed up work of the ongoing projects.
“There should be an action plan to achieve the national target,” he said here, an official release said.
He gave the directions to the officials of the ministry while he joined the meeting of the annual development programme of the food ministry through online video conference.
Food Secretary Mosammat Nazmanara Khanum conducted the video conference.
The minister asked relevant officials to monitor the work of each project under the Food Department.
The works of setting up five laboratories in five divisions are progressing, said Bangladesh Food Safety Authority chairman who was present at the meeting.
As the government has a plan to construct 200 paddy silos across the country, he said, adding the construction of 30 paddy paddy silos will start soon.
About rice mill owners, the food minister urged them to deliver rice to government’s warehouses within the stipulated time as per the agreement.
