RANGPUR, Aug 24, 2017 (BSS) – The city unit Ameer of Jamaat and another leader were arrested from different places in the city today.
Police said a special police team from Kotwali police station conducted separate raids and arrested Rangpur city unit Ameer Mahbubar Rahman Belal from his house in Kamarpara area and Shafikul Islam from Rangpur Polytechnic Institute area.
Both of the arrestess are accused in several cases, including subversive activities, Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Kotwali Thana ABM Zahidul Islam Ali said.
“After primary interrogation, we will produce the arrested before a
Rangpur court with a remand plea,” the OC added.
