Committee formed to probe Gaibandha road accident
DHAKA, June 24, 2018 (BSS) – Road Transport and Highways Division today
formed an 11-member committee to probe a deadly road accident that took place
yesterday in Gaibandha, resulting in the death of 18 people.
Additional Secretary of the division Shishir Kumar Roy was made convener of
the committee, which has been asked to submit its report within seven working
days.
Representatives from Police, Bangladesh Road Transport Authority (BRTA),
Fire Service and Civil Defence and transport owner association have been made
members of the committee, among others.
A total of 18 people were killed and 20 were injured in the accident in
Moheshpur area under Palashbari upazila of the district yesterday morning.
