COVID-19 infected doctor flown to Dhaka from Khulna

DHAKA, June 18, 2020 (BSS) – Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19) infected patient Dr. Abdul Kader was brought from Khulna to Dhaka on urgent basis today by an MI-171SH helicopter of Bangladesh Air Force.

Bangladesh Air Force through its medical evacuation (MEDEVAC) mission, today brought coronavirus infected critical patient Dr. Abdul Kader from BNS, Titumir, Khulna to Dhaka for better treatment by an MI-171SH helicopter of Bangladesh Air Force, according to an ISPR press release.

Dr Kader was undergoing treatment at Corona Dedicated Hospital at Boyra under Khulna.

Later, he was taken to Evercare Hospital (Appolo Hospital), Dhaka for better treatment.

The release said Bangladesh Air Force has been providing emergency air transport and medical evacuation (MEDEVAC) assistance in aid to civil power under Bangladesh Armed Forces.

In line with this, Chief of Air Staff of Bangladesh Air Force, Air Chief Marshal Masihuzzaman Serniabat provided necessary guidance to carry out the medical evacuation (MEDEVAC) mission.
