WASHINGTON, August 23, 2017 (BSS/TASS) -The United States extended sanction list on North Korea and added the Moscow-based Gefest-M company and four individuals. The updated lists were posted on the website of the US Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) on Tuesday.

Restrictions were introduced against general director of Gefest Ruben Kirakosyan. The company deals with sales of special alloys and steel grades. Sanctions were also imposed on Andrei Serbin, Mikhail Pisklin and Irina Huish.

Sanctions also covered Chinese, Singaporean and Namibian companies and a citizen of China.

The reason for introduction of sanctions was cooperation with companies from North Korea, the OFAC said in its statement.
