Bangabandhu centenary celebration body to observe 6-point day digitally

DHAKA, June 6, 2020 (BSS) – Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh
Mujibur Rahman Birth Centenary Celebration National Implementation
Committee is going to observe the historic six-point day digitally
tomorrow.

“Due to the current global situation for coronavirus, we will
observe the day digitally by avoiding public gatherings with utmost
importance on public health issues as directed by Prime Minister
Sheikh Hasina. We will hold a discussion and an online quiz
competition marking the day,” Chief Coordinator of the committee Dr
Kamal Abdul Naser Chowdhury told a press briefing through the online
app ‘Zoom’ here today.

State Minister for Information and Communication Technology Zunaid
Ahmed Palak, Senior Secretary of the ICT Division NM Zeaul Alam and
Founder of the Priyo.com Zakaria Swapan, among others, joined the
press briefing.

Kamal Chowdhury informed that Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina will
preside over the discussion while prominent writer Professor Syed
Manzoorul Islam will be present as the chief discussant.

Agriculture Minister Dr Abdur Razzak and Education Minister Dr Dipu
Moni will also remain present as discussants, he added.

He said the discussion will begin through presentation of a
documentary on ‘Historic 6-point day and charter of emancipation of
Bangalee.’

The discussion will be aired tomorrow on television, radio, online
and social media from 7pm to 10pm at a convenient time, he added.

Kamal Chowdhury said the committee is also going to arrange a
one-hour online quiz competition on the day as part of the observance
of the day.

About the quiz competition, Zunaid Ahmed Palak said the one-hour
online quiz competition will be held from 9pm to 10pm on the day.

He said anyone, especially younger generation, from any part of the
world can take part in the quiz competition through registration.

Interested people can register through the link:
quiz.mujib100.gov.bd within 3pm tomorrow, he added.

Palak informed that prizes will be awarded to 100 winners of the
quiz competition. The 1st prize winner will get Taka 3 lakh, 2nd prize
winner Taka 2 lakh, 3rd prize winner Taka 1 lakh, 4th prize winner
Taka 50 thousand, 5th prize winner Taka 25 thousand and 95 special
prizes of Taka 5 thousand each, he added.

the quiz competition with the technical support of the Priyo.com and
the cooperation of the BANGLA TRAC, ICT Division and Information
Ministry.
