Nasim urges UAE to recruit more Bangladeshi workers

DHAKA, Aug 22, 2017 (BSS) – Health and Family Welfare Minister Mohammad Nasim, who is now visiting the United Arab Emirates (UAE), today urged the UAE government to recruit more Bangladeshi workers.

The health minister made the call during a meeting with Sheikh Saud Bin Saqr Al Qasimi, Emir of Ras Al Khaimah province of the UAE, at Ras Al Khaimah, said an official release here.

During the meeting, the two leaders expressed hope to work together in order to improve different bilateral issues, including health, trade and manpower export.

Apprising Sheikh Saud of the recent achievements of Bangladesh in eco- social sectors, including health, Nasim said, “Bangladesh now has developed its status as lower medium income country with the leadership of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.”

The minister also urged the UAE to provide infrastructural and technological assistances to Bangladesh for further development of health sector.

Informing Nasim about the ongoing investment of UAE in some sectors of Bangladesh, Sheikh Saud expressed his gratitude to Bangladesh government for providing uninterrupted cooperation in this regard.

Sheikh Saud also sought cooperation from the government saying that the UAE government is interested to invest in more projects in Bangladesh in future.

Later, the minister visited the main office and plant of Julpher Pharmaceutical Company at Ras Al Khaimah.

Director General of Drug Administration Major General Mostafizur Rahman and Bangladesh envoy to UAE Muhammad Imran accompanied the minister during the visit.

The health minister left Dhaka for UAE on August 20. He is expected to return home on August 26.
