Murad mourns death of JPC gen sec’s mother Jahanara Hossen
DHAKA, June 4, 2020 (BSS) – State Minister for Information Dr Md Murad Hassan today expressed profound shock and sorrow at the death of Jahanara Hossen, mother Jatiya Press Club (JPC) General Secretary Farida Yasmin.
In a condolence message, Murad prayed for eternal peace of the departed soul and conveyed deep sympathy to the bereaved family.
Jahanara Hossen breathed her last at around 12.30am today at the age of 76, while undergoing treatment at city hospital.
She is survived by five daughters, four sons, grandsons and a host of relatives and admirers.
Jahanara was also mother-in-law of the Bangla daily ‘Bangladesh Protidin’ Editor and the private television channel News 24’s Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Naem Nizam.
She was adorned with ‘Ratnagarva Award’ last year.
