KHULNA, June 04, 2020 (BSS) – Khulna district administration has distributed relief materials and cash among severe cyclone Amphan affected people at Kalabagi and Nalian areas locally known as ‘Jhulanta Gram’ (village) in Dakop upazila of the district on Wednesday .
Parliament Member (Women Reserved Seat) Gloria Jharna and Deputy Commissioner Md. Helal Hossain yesterday visited two affected villages Kalabagi and Nalian and distributed relief materials as part of the government’s instant efforts to mitigate sufferings of the ‘Amphan’ affected peoples’
The distributed relief materials include corrugated iron sheets, dry food, pure drinking water and cash aid.
They dispensed ten kilograms of rice among 250 families each, two bundles of corrugated iron sheets and cash TK 1,80,000 among 30 affected families and TK 60,000 among 30 students of different schools and madrasas each aimed at mitigating their financial hardship amid cyclone Amphan.
Additional Deputy Commissioner (General) Ziaur Rahman, Upazila Nirbahi Officer Md Abdul Wadud, Water Development Board Executive Engineer Palash Kumar Banerjee and local people’s representatives were present at the distribution ceremony
