‘CDC ache apnar pashe’ service introduced for COVID-19 patients

DHAKA, May 31, 2020 (BSS) – The Communicable Disease Control (CDC) unit under Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) has launched a new service titled ‘CDC ache apnar pashe’ for COVID-19 patients to provide healthcare services to patients through mobile phones.

“CDC will inquire health conditions of coronavirus positive people and it will provide health directives to them for maintaining hygiene through disinfecting living spaces,” DGHS Additional Director General Prof Nasima Sultana told a virtual media briefing at the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) here today.

CDC will continue to keep close contact with the coronavirus infected patients to guide them properly, she said, adding CDC is working with Robi mobile phone operator to widen newly introduced services to fight the COVID-19 pandemic.

While talking to BSS, CDC Director Dr Shahnila Ferdoushi said, “We have started the services in a limited scale…. we will expand the services across the country for COVID-9 patients to help them get recovery from the disease.”
