RAJSHAHI, June 22, 2018 (BSS) – The Election Commission (EC) has been
working relentlessly to make the forthcoming election of Rajshahi City
Corporation (RCC) free, fair and credible to all.
Returning Officer (RO) and 10 Assistant Returning Officers (AROs) are
discharging their duties to make the election successful.
Returning Officer Syed Amirul Islam revealed this while sharing views with
a team of Sushasoner Jonya Nagorik (Sujon) at his office in the city
yesterday.
Sujon city unit president Pear Baksha, district unit president Ahmed Shafi
Uddin, vice-president Advocate Mojammel Haque, general secretary Alam Masud,
youth leader Mustafizur Rahman and Area Coordinator Subrata Kumar Paul were
present at the meeting.
RO Amirul Islam said that the EC will ensure all measures for
acceptable election.
Sujon members put emphasis on strong vigilance so that no candidates can
violate code of conducts during their campaign.
They also underscored the need for adopting measures for making the
upcoming election free from using black money and muscle power.
